Speaker: Prof. Robert M. Fulmer

A professor, and renowned author and once the President of two management consulting firms specializing in human resource issues, Robert M. Fulmer is a Distinguished Visiting Professor of Strategy at the Graziadio School of Business and Management of Pepperdine University, and Academic Director for Duke Corporate Education. With a long list of accomplishments and achievements, his titles include being a Professor at institutes such as the College of William & Mary, serving as a Director of Corporate Management Development for Allied Signal, Inc. Throughout his experience, Fulmer has consulted with a variety of global organizations including Caterpillar, Johnson & Johnson, Astra Zenica, IBM, Aramco, Samsung, Bertlesmann Music Group (BMG), Samsung, Ford, AT&T and Barclays Bank. With such a vast range of knowledge, his books include titles such as The New Management - 4 Editions (Macmillan), and Crafting Competitiveness (Capstone), Executive Development and Organizational Learning for Global Business, and Leadership by Design (Harvard Business School Press).

His research and writing have focused on future challenges of management, implementation of strategy and leadership development as a lever for change efforts. He has designed and delivered leadership development initiatives in 25 countries and on six continents. He was founding chairperson of the Executive Education Exchange, President of the Board of Editors for Executive Development, An International Journal, and a past President of the Southern Management Association.

This session highlights global best practices in leadership development and suggests ways that HR professionals can utilize to win the support of line executives and become strategic partners in their organizations. The session also discusses tools that are associated with personal and strategic business  growth.
